Photo Progress

And now you've all seen my bathroom

Ladies and gentlemen, my shorts. Also the shirt is new. Also, I look awesome.

These photos are 'in progress' photos from right around my birthday, when I was having trouble getting blogger to cooperate with the layouts that I wanted and hence why it took me so long to put these up. There's the ever-present sweat wreath around my neck and you can see the embarrassing boob sweat ever so faintly. Please be kind and ignore my stupid half-grin.

Having nothing to go by other than the picture below, I'll let you know that there are some definite changes that have taken place. My thighs and calves have more definition, my face is thinner, and my gut has shrunk a little. Hopefully you'll see a greater difference in the next set of photos, which should be up by the end of the week.

Near as I can tell, this is the most recent photo of me before I started this whole gym experience. Thank goodness for weddings because I do not often allow full body photos to be taken of me. We'll call this the jumping off point.

This photo was taken at the wedding of my cousin Alisha and is dated July 21, 2012. Now, I probably lost some weight that night because give me a dance floor and some awesome music and I am a dancing machine. Seriously. I think my whole shirt was soaked with sweat by the end of the night. Yes it's gross, but sweat is a normal part of life. I'm sure you'll live.

My motivation with this section of the blog is to provide photographic evidence of my progress and to illicit comments of, "WOW, you look SO great!" because who doesn't want to receive lots of compliments on their physical appearance. But save them for future photos, please. Or at least don't waste them all on this photo of my belly.

  2. I'm thinking it's time for a new set of pics. Labeling them with dates would be helpful, too. C'mon, your fans are waiting.

  7. Sam, you're looking great! I'm doing boot camp classes so I'm more familiar than I like with the torturesome exercises you're doing. It's not the tricep dips and pushups that kill me but the burpees. I tell people that's what I think Hell is, an eternity of burpees and running! LOL

You're a true inspiration and I'm along for the journey! Keep grinding it out!

  8. Guys you are all so nice! Thanks for the compliments. And good for you for doing bootcamp, Michelle! I have to say I've been a little too nervous to try that out. I have very adamantly told Justin that I refuse to do burpees.

  9. I started following your blog at the end of last year because I heard about it from Mrs. Bonebright who is a friend of mine.

Can I just say that as a reader who has never met you, I think you're an inspiration to many people, myself included and you're doing a fantastic job! You look great! Your dedication is admirable and even when you slip up, you're still committed. So many people wouldn't do what you are doing. So I just wanted to leave some encouragement here to tell you to keep it up! You're awesome! c:
